2007年4月、浦和大学こども学部が新設された。この学部では、命と人権を基底にする人間観に立ち、初年時教育とキャリア形成教育を重視した教養教育を行う。教室と同じフロアに「こどもコミュニティセンター」を設立することによって、学生は地域の親子とふれあい、関わりあいながら学ぶことができる。これらを学部教育の特色としている。 こどもコミュニティセンターは、毎週、地域の親子が集う広場を開設するとともに、各種講座や研修を開講し、教育と実践と研究を一体として展開するための拠点となっている。そればかりでなく、地域社会への貢献を通じ、大学が地域社会の創造にとって不可欠な社会資源となっていくことをめざしている。2008年度以降は、更なる地域との連携の強化によって、充実した学部教育が行われることになるだろう。 さらに、カナダライアソン大学の有する家族支援の優れたプログラムを研究して、学生と地域の支援者教育に役立てるためのプロジェクトを始動している。 こうした先進的な取り組みにより、地域に開かれたキャンパスで、単位修得だけにとどまらない自由で広がりのある学習が存分に行われ、学生が総合的で質の高いキャリア形成を図ることができるような教育を行うことをめざすものである。 |

Urawa University established the Faculty of Child Studies in April, 2007. This department carries out substantial education by strengthening cooperation with the community. Child Community Center is added to it. While parent and child living in the area visit the center, the student can learn by mutually touching with them. Through contact with the visitor, the student learns about the problem that a Japanese family faces and can understand how to support it. In addition, the education of this department, for the first year education is made much of, and it is connected for acquisition of high ability as the employment. Our faculty wants to enhance the education with the trait to answer the request of the society. A useful study chance for the construction of the community that lives easily for people engaged in the local populace and profession is scheduled to install it that much. |
