 note = {P(論文), 「皇室典範に関する有識者会議」は、皇位継承資格を「男系の男子」だけでなく「女子や女系の皇族に拡大することが必要である」との報告を平成17（2005）年11月24日に行った。これについては、当該報告を支持する意見がある一方で、125代にわたって男系により継承されてきた皇室の歴史や伝統を無視するものであるとの反対意見がさまざまな識者により表明された。その後、悠仁親王のご誕生という新たな動きにより、女性・女系天皇を容認する皇室典範改正案の国会提出は見送られた形になった。悠仁親王のご誕生により、男系男子の皇位継承者がいなくなる事態はひとまず解消されたが、皇太子の次の世代に男子が1人という現在の状況においては「安定的な皇位継承」が確保されているわけではない。皇位継承問題や皇室典範の改正については十分な検討が必要である。, Stability of the Imperial succession is an important issue that affects the country's foundation.
