Each individual has a different concept of 'family' with today's changeable families. Should we not keep it in mind in our practice when we deal with 'family' and study 'family support'? I targeted the communication among family members and wrote a questionnaire asking, 'Suppose you used a free service for family members offered by an imaginary mobile phone company, which five members of your family would you choose?' 　We can estimate how much mobile phone communication the subject has among members of the group considered 'family', by looking at the results of this questionnaire, which can be called a projection method. If we use this in a class concerning the students' families or a seminar for family support staff, it will be an effective means to study 'family'.
