And in 16 centuries, advancement of Catholicism into China was accelerated with the expansion of the Western countries capitalism. Catholicism formally got the propagation right in China, constructed churches and welfare establishments and propagandized, after the Opium War. In 1949, after establishment of the People's Republic of China, Chinese managed churches and welfare establishments by themselves. But, they must stop all activities in the Chinese Great Cultural Revolution. After 1980's, propaganda activities and welfare activities of Catholicism were recovered.},
