First mathematical activities and mathematical abilities to think were considered.  Second teaching materials were devised when mathematical problems were given.  They were classified by the following five points. (1)Children or students feel close to“Wasan”. (2)Children can use teaching materials in daily life. (3)Puzzle components should be included. (4)Children can find number patterns or feel beauty on geometrical figures. (5)Children can find mathematical rules by doing mathematical activities.  Third concrete examples to the above five points were shown and students’responses to them were given.  As a conclusion, one of the students’responses was“thinking is fun”.
